Your core mission: to structure, negotiate, and close complex and sophisticated deals involving top-level decision makers both within advertiser and agency organizations.
At the same time, you will lead the drive for revenue growth in marketing services—for a business built on advertising revenue. This means your job includes transforming advertising customers into clients for our integrated marketing services, as well as moving our advertising sales teams into understanding and selling marketing services.
What you will need:
Your sales work will range from cold calls to RFP responses to client entertainment. Sometimes with a sales team or management, sometimes on your own. You will have to communicate well, in speaking and in writing. You should be able to speak to a senior-level audience with confidence.
In account management, you will work across different internal departments to execute integrated solutions for clients. You will need to be organized, attend to details, and follow up on planned solutions.
As the leader of this effort, you will help the ad sales team understand the technology so that they become comfortable discussing it in-depth with customers, while training them in the selling skills needed to close marketing services business. You will also guide the marketing of the services you sell.
